I am a self taught potter based in South Wales from my small home studio, I love how alive and responsive clay is, it challenges me and inspires me, it connects me to nature and the endless possibilities of the medium of clay and glazes draw me back again and again to create. I tend to work with stoneware, either hand-building or throwing on the wheel depending on my mood and energy levels. Working with clay helped me through years of severe illness, and I am constantly inspired by exploring different forms and illustrating my pieces by carving and drawing. I enjoy repeating patterns, shapes inspired by nature and the human form. I’ve begun to teach some classes in my local area now, and hope to continue to find more and more time for my art.
