I make a range of reduction-fired tableware from my studio in Cardiff, Wales where I also teach weekend and evening pottery classes. For more info on course visit: http://www.onewallstudio.co.uk/
I throw my pots with Cornish clay and collect and refine materials like wood ash, wild clays and okras to use as slips on my pots or as ingredients in glazes. I am informed by traditional pottery, in particular eastern ideas brought to the UK by Bernard Leach. Whilst working with this framework I am always looking to add a contemporary feel to my work though mark-making, form and application of glazes.
I studied Ceramics at Cardiff School of Art and Design and at HDK Academy of Arts and Craft University of Gothenburg. I also apprenticed with Jeremy Steward at Wobage Farm Workshop.
