I throw on a traditional kick wheel using layers of porcelain, coloured with stains and oxides: the work was first biscuit fired and then fired to 1250 in an electric kiln, glazed on the inside with a clear porcelain glaze. My work responded to the merging of shoreline and sky where I used to live. Whilst abstract during construction the resulting work created a visual concept of coastal views.
