Wood firing weekend

Jean Sampson of Mid Wales Arts will be leading the firing the Mid Wales Arts Eco Wood fired kiln for South Wales Potters members over this weekend. It starts with glazing on Friday 3rd October, Firing on Saturday 4th October and ends with the SWP AGM after the kiln opening.

Jean Sampson of Mid Wales Arts gave a lecture at the recent International Ceramics Festival 2025 about their Girel 3e kiln ( an ergonomic, economic and environmentally friendly kiln designed by Jean Girel in 2022) and this will a great opportunity to see it in action and for 8 participants (who need to pay a fee of £50) will be able to fire their own pieces. Other members or partners are welcome to attend and observe.

Bed and Breakfast is available and camper vans can stay overnight at a charge of £20 per night.
