It will be an exciting day of glazing, fire and smoke, with fellow new and experienced raku enthusiasts in a lovely rural setting.
This day is perfect if you just want to give Raku a go for the first time, or if you are more experienced member who wants to fire a few pieces and enjoy a day with fellow members.
We will have bisque fired pots and little houses available to purchase ( at cost ) on day, and everyone is welcome to bring their own bisque fired pots to glaze and raku fire.
All glazes and materials will be provided, but please bring your own feathers and horsehair to use if you wish to try ‘horsehair’ raku.
Tea and Coffee will be provided during the day, and we will be having a bring and share lunch, which is a welcome staple of SWP in person events.
Once you book tickets, we will send you further details including the size of your work and number of bisque pots that can be raku fired on the day and the schedule for the event.
