Jean Sampson of Mid Wales Arts will be leading the firing the Mid Wales Arts Eco Wood fired kiln for South Wales Potters members over this weekend. The weekend will culminate in the Kiln opening on Sunday 5th October followed by the SWP AGM.

Jean Sampson gave a lecture at the recent International Ceramics Festival 2025 about their Girel 3e kiln ( an ergonomic, economic and environmentally friendly kiln designed by Jean Girel in 2022) and this will a great opportunity to see it in action and learn more about this kiln.

The event is being held at Mid Wales Arts Centre a not-for-profit, voluntary organisation working with artists, young people and the local community to develop access to the arts at all levels in Mid Wales.

Its important to get as many members as possible to the AGM and we will try and facilitate car sharing to travel to and from the AGM day.
