Porcelain Ceramics

Biologist turned potter 22 years ago, when I trained in a porcelain workshop in Canada.

All present work is made from porcelain, and decorated with my own glazes. Against tradition I throw porcelain large and use the whiteness and translucency to show off the vibrant glazes.

As well as making all types of domestic ware I make large platters with individual pictures which can hang on the wall and also be used as a server.

Within the range of my glazes I can make any design to order. In addition I make and decorate white and red earthenware tiles.

I am also exploring lifesize, paperclay, outdoor sculptures which mock the sincerityand nonchalence of traditional sculptures and reflect the natural reaction of vunerability to our nakedness.
