2nd April 1925 - 12th December 2003

The news that Mick Casson OBE died at home at Wobage Farm on 12th December 2003, has saddened us all in South Wales Potters.

Mick and Sheila became members of the society in the early 1960’s, and remained members ever since, being  actively involved in our society in many ways. On various occasions Mick demonstrated for South Wales Potters, and the lips and handles of jugs that are formed by many of us today are a testament to this.  Mick’s generosity was seemingly endless as he gave his time and willingly shared his knowledge.

His enthusiasm, for pots and potters and all things relating to ceramics, was infectious. He will be greatly missed by so many in the world of ceramics
