I first developed an interest in ceramics whilst studying it as part of a college course and later at evening class. When family commitments eventually allowed I decided to pursue ceramics seriously and studied under Megan di Girolamo RBA, ARBS and later under Billy Adams MA.

I was always drawn to modelling life forms and developed my style and technique accordingly. Most of my pieces are modelled from animals which I chance upon whilst out walking and draw and photograph at the time. Each piece is therefore a unique challenge trying to capture the essential spirit of a real animal.

Hand built in stoneware clay and fired to 1260C, they are frost-proof and suitable for the garden. Some are coloured with metal oxides and others are glazed using mainly matt glazes.
