I make ceramic birds using fine stoneware and porcelain clays, some with a copper in-glaze lustre.
Each bird is constructed individually, coloured with metal oxides, and glazed.
Then it is high-temperature fired in a purpose-built kiln to create a unique piece.
Whether special collector's subjects or small garden birds, all are reasonably priced.
