I originally trained as a graphic designer. But working in three dimensions with clay has always fascinated me, so I embarked on the HNC Studio Ceramics course in the Forest of Dean .
For my handbuilt work I use locally found fossils and stone to impart a more earthy feel to the clay.
The stoneware clay is then coloured with oxides, glazed and reduction fired in a gas kiln.
