CONCERNS are with the dynamics of human relationships and the sources of behaviour.
ARTISTIC INSPIRATIONS are from hills, coastal paths, changing seasons, weathering of stones, pebbles on a beach, layers of peeling paint, moving skylines.
FOCUS is on shadows, interactions and reflections, balance of light and shade, blending of colour combinations, what happens if. ?

WORKING METHODS
Two or three coils are added to a thumb pot; the form is then refined, shaped, scraped and set aside to stiffen.

Meanwhile, several small balls of white clay are stained with various oxides and stains and assembled into a block. These are sliced and incorporated into the form. The pot is then painted inside and outside with layers of oxides and coloured slips, then repeatedly burnished. After a slow thorough drying out, the pot is slowly fired to approx l050C in an electric kiln. Whilst still warm, it is removed from the kiln and waxed.
