Dynamic surface decoration with Bert the Potter at Cardiff CSAD

A demonstration and workshop with Welsh Potter and CSAD Doctoral Research Student Bert Jones.
Please arrive at 9.45am ready for a 10am start in the Heart Space at Cardiff School of Art and Design, finish time is expected to be approx. 1.30pm.
Bert will give a presentation on his work, processes and practice allowing time for some Q&A. We will then move to the workshop for the second part of the session for a throwing and decorating demonstration. Members can decorate their own pots with Bert’s materials, providing they have brought a small piece of dry buff stoneware with them (preferably V9G) for an en masse ‘have a go’ decorating session to practise Bert’s technique.
For a cost of £10 each members can have their decorated greenware taken away for bisque firing and a reduction glaze firing in Bert’s gas kiln (pay cash on the day).
