Gill Bramley

I work from a small studio at my home in Swansea, South Wales.  I am influenced by shape and colour and use the vast variety of the seashore as an inspiration.

Most of my working life was as a primary school teacher which might explain why I love the liveliness of bright colours!

The clay I use is a fine white earthenware, most of my work is thrown on a wheel. Glazes are lead-free and applied with brushes; decoration may be slip-trailed or graffito cut into a bronze glaze.
